Red Compartida available in Pachuca, Hidalgo; Córdoba, Veracruz also with 4.5G LTE connectivity

    • At Pachuca over 321 thousand inhabitants are added to the National 4.5G LTE of the network; 6 combined vicinities in this central state serve more than 780 thousand people with service.
    • As of today, the service is also available in Cordoba, Veracruz state, for more than 207 thousand persons. 
    • Altán-La Red Compartida is available in 35 commercial zones nationwide.

    Mexico City; March 5th, 2020.- Altán Redes, the Mexican mobile operator deploying Red Compartida, the country’s wholesale mobile broadband network, announces that as of today its network coverage is commercially available in the state capital of Hidalgo, Pachuca, as well as in the city of Córdoba at Veracruz state. 

     

    With this commercial launch, in Pachuca for more than 321 thousand inhabitants, the state’s capital joins the coverage already available in the “magical Towns” (Pueblos Mágicos) of Huichapan, Tecozautla, Huasca de Ocampo, Mineral del Chico y Mineral del Monte, since 2019, to collectively cover over 783 thousand Hidalgo natives. 

     

    Specifically, the more than 72 thousand residents in nearby rural towns to Pachuca with 4.5G-LTE connectivity, many of them are in 23 localities classified with “high” and “very high” marginalization, according to the National Population Council’s Marginalization Index*. 

     

    On the other hand, Córdoba joins the coverage already available in the state of Veracruz for more than 1.6 million now combined in 6 commercial areas. In Córdoba, more than 207 thousand inhabitants are under the coverage of the network (more than 54 thousand of them in nearby rural populations).

     

    Altán-La Red Compartida has more than 60 operators and retailers of telecommunication services, under its wholesale commercial model, and through which various retail offers of mobile services and fixed wireless internet to the home or business are sold to the consumer under the network coverage.

     

    The national coverage of Altán-La Red Compartida is now accessible for more than 57 million people (almost 11 million in towns with less than 10,000 inhabitants) in 35 cities (including its urban and rural areas), and 58 Pueblos Mágicos.
